Feb 7, ’13:  Yesterday was “Signing Day for Blue-Chippers” in college football.  If there is a more disgustingly tragic example of society gone to Hell in a Handbasket, I  can’t think of it.  The mutual exploitation of semi-literate 17-18 y/os and “citadels of high academe”.  An apt comparison might be Tiny Tot Beauty Pageants. Wonder how much JonBenet Ramsey could bench press?

Feb 5, ’13:  This is too easy (and funny as all get-out).   Predicting how liberals will react, in general, is easy enough.  Predicting the academaniac wing of their funny farm is “shooting fish in a barrel” easy.   Recently Gov PatMc made a passing reference to “higher education” in a radio interview and UNC’s Franklin Street immediately erupted in a street riot – Yeee Hahahaha.   Grab your votive candle.  Its time to “vigil”. Feb 4, ’13:  I lied.  Blondie and I did NOT watch a Bond-athon as our pre-SB47 ritual.  Instead she did a TurnerClassic Movie-athon including “A Nun’s Story” featuring Audrey Hepburn.  Audrey and Beyonce on the same HDTV screen on the same day – YIKES!

Feb 2, ’13:  It is incumbent on me to weigh in on the public debate over The Future of Football”.  This debate and speculation is not  anything new.  It is rooted in the basics of human nature and an individual’s responsibility for his own well-being.  Can we toss football into the same socio-cultural crock pot as “having an abortion”..... “being gay”..... “eating a Big Mac”..... “smoking marijuana”..... “riding a bicycle on a busy street”?  Does it “take a village” to determine what sport you can play? ......
