Jan 29, ’13:  It didn’t take (Repub) Governor Pat McCrory long to take aim at a bitter opponent of any/all things “Not Liberal” – The University of North Carolina @ Chapel Hill.   Anyone who didn’t see this one coming has been in a coma for 50 years. Jan 28, ’13:  10+ years ago an individual (assumably an NC State partisan) proffered on the Internet that NC State, and everyone affiliated with the institution, was far superior to their UNC-CH counterparts BECAUSE - General Hugh Shelton was a greater human being than Rick Dees..... I thought about that this weekend as Danica Patrick announced her new boyfriend and The Pro Bowl was played.....

Jan 24, ’13:  In the late 70s one of my favorite past times was watching Pro Wrestling..... Dusty Rhodes “The American Deam” – a young Ric Flair – The Von Erichs – etc.  Meanwhile my mom loved “her soaps”.  Now I devour crime/action fiction audio books..... and being entertained by TV sports.  What’s the connection here ?? .....

Jan 23, ’13: No sooner did we tell you about that fire-breathing hammer&sickle waving commie in Chapel Hill then WHAMMO..... another example of academic lunacy pops up.  Our favorite gubernatorial punchline– Bevie “Dumplin” Perdue has finagled a teaching gig at Haaaavard.  Yeah verily Professor Dumplin’ will be imparting the wisdom gained from being “the most unpopular and ineffective  governor in America from 2008-2012”. ......

Jan 23, ’13:  There is a new Dept Chair for AfAM Studies at UNC-CH – replacing the most infamous “guy named Nyang’oro” in school history.  “Uncle Julius” was unknown to 99% of us before his long-running academic flim flam became front page fodder for most of 2012.  His replacement – Eunice Sahle - therefore would likely indoctrinate in relative obscurity were she not replacing HIM.  She would simply be just another self-proclaimed hard-core angry Communist on the UNC faculty.... nothing new about that. ......
