    Crockpots & Scary Bridges
…… It has not escaped me how much you folks enjoyed chatting recently about crockpots and scary bridges.  There ARE plenty of fun subjects to discuss that teardown the partisan walls that so often separate us be they sports or politics.  Lets all endeavor to find more such topics in 2012…. Whattayasay?

    Bunting & Fedora
….. The Burly Bluebleeder HAS conversed with Larry Fedora.  Larry now has a map of the Chapel Hill minefield.  If John had had the benefit of such a map ten years ago, things might have been very different.

    Withers to OSU
…… Interim Ev moves from one distressed program to another – Ohio State.  I see this as an excellent opportunity for Withers.  Overall he has done a very credible job in a very difficult situation.  We wish him well.

    Blondie Recommends
….. My in-house TV critic enthusiastically recommends Homeland and, of course, Dexter.   (BEWARE: Dexter contains more F-bombs than an Ol’ Roy golf game.).  We both loved BOSS on Starz w/ Kelsey Grammer. …. ANYTHING on “premium movie channels” is “R” rated – not for the prudish!

    The Latest Child Molestor
……. Philly sportswriter Bill Conlin “looks like” a dirty ol’ man.  Conlin’s persona was that of a gaseous windbag.  In today’s media culture that image alone will convict him in the court of public opinion.  Child molestors are very dangerous ….. so are media-fueled lynch mobs.

    Craig James For Senate
…… Texans aren’t fooled by James as much as his ESPN colleagues are.  He is an arrogant fraud still hanging with Sherwood Blount and the Beverly Drive Death Penalty Gang at SMU.  His political foray will be a short-lived disaster.

    The Dwight Jones’ Thing
……  Yes, an infraction….. BUT the situation re: UNC Football is so tightly-wound these days that even the slightest misstep becomes “a big deal”.  We did get to see how Bubba moved quickly to resolve the matter without the bumble-stumble-mumble pratfalls of his predecessor.  I’m telling you….. Bubba Cunningham is “a Big Hire”.    Oh, and yes, Tickets ARE still available for “Christmas In Shreveport”!  Univ of Nevada sold 10 Tickets for their bowl game in Hawaii vs So Miss.  That record is going to be tuff to beat.  “Bowl Games” are the biggest scam since Milli Vanilli.

    NCSU Chancy Gets New Digs
….. Chancy Randy Woodson has moved into new digs on The Centennial Campus.  Built totally from private donations and using local products and in-house Wuff engineering technology; this is a much-needed facility for The Brickyard Folks.  As with most campus CEOs, the Chancellor’s residence is part residence and part wining/dining room for institutional benefactors…. I haven’t met Chancy Randy yet but keep hearing lots of good things about him.

    International Assassin Court Gentry
….. I mentioned new author find Mark Greaney on Monday.  I went right in to his second book when I finished the first one.  His hero – Court Gentry aka “The Gray Man” – is a combo of Mitch Rapp, Dirk Pitt and Jack Reacher.   If I’ve sparked your interest, read The Gray Man first.  There are three books w/ Gentry so far.

    Still Dead
……. Kim Jung Il is Still Dead.  Caron, the boatman on the River Styxx, should be rowing the toady little dictator into Eternal Hell about now.  Saddam Hussein has a partner for bocci ball.

    Upcoming Radio Gigs
….. BobLee will be “On-Air” twice in the next 36 hours on WPTF 680AM.   Thursday, I’ll be with WPTF’s Bill Lumaye from 4-5.  Friday morning I sub for “Rick” with “Donna” from 9-11 also on WPTF.   Nationally you can follow us on WPTF.com

    REPEAT:  Crockpots & Scary Bridges
…… It has not escaped me how much you folks enjoyed chatting recently about crockpots and scary bridges.  There ARE plenty of fun subjects to discuss that teardown the partisan walls that so often separate us be they sports or politics.  Lets all endeavor to find more such topics in 2012…. Whattayasay?
